1.  I'm suddenly realizing how much of an adjustment being out of school will be after this next year.  Not only will my year no loner be structured around two semesters + summer vacation, my finances are going to be so different.  Obviously I'm hoping I'll be making more than my current wage, which is only a quarter above minimum wage, I think.  ( Read more... )

1. I took a picture of myself today to compare to the one taken at my family reunion over the summer (which took place about 1 week after I started trying to lose weight).  I don't know if it's very visible, but I did finally have to get new pants.

I know I just weighed in last week, but I wanted to again, because I hit 30 pounds this morning.  That means I've officially lost 1/3 of the 90 pounds I hope to lose (which is only the minimum to get me off the 'overweight' list, if I can go lower I will).

First off, monthly(ish) weigh in- 230 lbs.  Means I'm down about 28 lbs.  I actually gained a couple pounds back in the last week or so since school started, but I adjusted exercise routine and am trying to figure out a good food system for Tuesdays and Thursdays where I don't really have time for lunch (so I don't end up eating from the vending ( Read more... )

Starting weight: 258
Current weight: 236

Weight Lost: 22 lbs

I've been doing it for a little over 2 months now, so that's pretty close to 10 lbs per month, which is better than I thought I'd do.  I'm going to have to get new pants soon.
